Sarah-Jayne Blackwell
Sarah-Jayne trained at the Stretton School of Dance & Drama throughout her childhood. At eighteen she secured a place at the Italia Conti Academy and graduated as Head Girl in 1993. Sarah-Jayne’s theatre credits include ‘Fame is the Spur’ at the Library Theatre – Manchester, ‘Maggie May’ at the Royalty Theatre- London, the ‘Royal Command Performance’ at the Palladium, ‘An Evening with Andrew Lloyd Webber’ at St Paul’s Cathedral, ‘The Canterbury Tales’ – Covent Garden, ‘Babes in the Wood’-Sadlers Wells, ‘ Waltz Dream’ – European Tour, ‘Love, Lust and Marriage’ - Gulbenkin Theatre and ‘Grease’ - Cafe Royal, London. Over the various Christmas periods Sarah-Jayne enjoyed appearing in pantomimes including ‘Cinderella’, Mother Goose’, ‘Goldilocks’ and ‘Dick Whittington’ all for E&B Productions at The Hippodrome Theatre - Birmingham.

From onstage to behind the scenes, Sarah-Jayne’s credits include; Assistant Director to Paul Rosby for the National Youth Theatre of Great Britain, Assistant Choreographer & Dance Captain for P&O Cruises, Associate Choreographer and Dance Captain for Thompson Gold and Associate choreographer on ‘Me and My Girl’ at Wolverhampton Grammar School.

As a Licentiate member of ISTD and LAMDA, Sarah-Jayne is facilitated to teach Classical Ballet, Classical Greek, Modern, Tap, Speech and Drama. She has been teaching for fourteen years at schools including, Church Stretton Comprehensive, Rushbury Primary School, Bellan House (Oswestry) and Pattison’s College of Theatre Arts (Coventry). The Stretton School of Dance and Drama has always taking precedence for Sarah-Jayne and with over thirty years of dedication directed at the school (as both pupil and teacher), Sarah-Jayne is thrilled and delighted to be in a position to be able to continue the work and develop the school ever further on. Paul Anthony Blackwell
Paul Anthony Blackwell
Paul trained at the London Studio Centre of Performing Arts on the Piers Flint-Shipman Scholarship for Drama graduating in 1992. In his final term at college Paul appeared in ‘Strange Domain’ at the Canal Café Theatre, London leading to co-choreographing and appearing in ‘The Boyfriend’ for the English Speaking Theatre in Frankfurt, Germany. Other European credits include ‘Return to the Forbidden Planet’, ‘The Lionheart Brothers’, ‘Fiddler on the Roof’ and choreographer for ‘To Be Or Not To Be’. Musicals include:- ‘Crazy For You’, ‘Bertie’, ‘West Side Story’ , ‘Babes In Arms’ Plays include ‘The Sabre’s Edge – Life of Nijinksky’ ‘Fall For Me’ (Edinburgh Festival), ‘The Dream Play’, and the ‘The Long Goodbye’. Pantomimes including ‘Jack and the Beanstalk’, ‘Cinderella’, ‘Goldilocks and the Three Bears’ and ‘Dick Whittington’. Television credits include ‘EastEnders’, ‘Casualty’, ‘The Bill’ ‘The National Lottery’ and ‘Check Out’

Paul timidly edged into management by taking on an Entertainment Manager’s role which forced him to spend six long months in sun soaked Malta at a four star hotel! Well someone had to do it! With his managerial cap firmly in place, Paul undertook the role of Cruise Director for P&O Cruises and then assumed the role of Entertainment Director and Co-ordinator at Grosvenor House Hotel, Park Lane, London. Paul has also worked extensively in technical theatre production in London’s West End on shows including, ‘Miss Saigon’, ‘Les Miserables’, ‘An Absolute Turkey’, ‘42nd Street’ and ‘The Return of Dame Edna’.

Paul has been teaching a range of Performing Arts based subjects for approximately ten years at schools including the London Studio Centre, Stretton School of Dance and Drama, Pattison’s College of Theatre Arts, Bishop’s Castle Community College and Shrewsbury High School for Girls. Paul has also given workshops and lectures all over the country and abroad in subjects as diverse as Shakespearean text, roller-skating and robotic dance!
